Boppy Nursing Cover MFG: Boppy Store
    Why We Love It

Of course, a nursing cover is not a must-have — many mothers choose not to use them, and some babies don't like them either. But if you do want to use one, the Boppy Nursing Cover is a favorite for good reason. Not only does the Boppy offer plenty of coverage, but there are special rings to help you remember which side you nursed or pumped from last. The neckline is sturdy and the strap adjustable. Not to mention, it has a pouch on the front and is machine-washable. “The top curves out a bit so you can see down it, and it doesn't fall on baby's face, just nicely over him,” wrote one What to Expect community member.

Kindred Bravely The Marvella Nursing Bra MFG: Kindred Bravely Store
    Why We Love It

You’re going to be feeding your little one often, especially in the first few weeks, so you’ll want to have easy access. Nursing bras are probably the most important clothing item to buy, since they allow you to unclip each cup so you don’t have to take the whole bra off every time you breastfeed. And Kindred Bravely is a tried-and-true favorite, thanks to the support, soft material and easy pull-aside access of the cups. Plus, these bras are wire- and clasp-free, making for more comfortable day-long wear. “[They're] super comfortable, breathable and so easy on my back and shoulders!” wrote one What to Expect mom.

Lansinoh Stay Dry Disposable Nursing Pads for Breastfeeding MFG: Lansinoh Store
    Why We Love It

Breast pads help to absorb milk if your breasts leak, preventing the milk from leaking through your bra to your top. You can get disposable ones and washable ones, but you might need to try a few different brands until you find ones that suit you best. Being less wasteful than disposable breast pads, washable breast could pads save you money in the long run. These have a waterproof layer and come in a handy mesh bag for easy storage.

This firm, flat pillow delivers plenty of support, and has a Velcro strap for simple one-hand use. Quick Clean Micro-Steam Bags MFG: Medela Store
    Why We Love It

These microwavable sterilizing steam bags are one of the most amazing inventions…ever!! Normally, to sterilize your breastfeeding products or pumping accessories, you need to wash and boil them. That takes a while! However, with these convenient steam bags, all you have to do is pop items into the bag with a little bit of water, seal, and microwave according to the directions on the box (about 3 minutes). Best of all, the bags are reusable up to 20 times, so one box lasts a while! You can sterilize just about anything that will fit in the bags: bottles, lids, nipples, pump parts, pacifiers, and small toys. (I don’t recommend steaming pump tubing however, as it melts easily).
